The term "Indaba" refers to the traditional Zulu forum for sharing ideas and has found widespread use throughout Southern Africa, often simply meaning: gathering or meeting. In traditional African culture, Indaba groups are where people get together to sort out the problems that affect them all, where everyone has a voice and where there is an attempt to find a common mindset or a common story that everyone is able to share upon leaving. "This is how we approached it. This is what we heard. This is where we arrived as we thought and talked together."
Farm Indaba is intended to be just that, a meeting place where horsemanship ideas and practices can be discussed, explored, and utilized for the greater good of horse and rider.
Located on beautiful John's Island, South Carolina, Farm Indaba is located only 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston and only 10 minutes from the lovely beaches of Kiawah and Seabrook. The private facility is 14 acres of well maintained pasture and home to its 3 resident horses. We also offer training and specialized boarding. We focus on a natural and holistic approach to nutrition, training, and over all care and lifestyle.
